# Get database statistics

`GET /v1/projects/{project_id}/database/{environment_id}/stats`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.connic.co`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Return collection, document, and storage-byte totals for one environment database.

Required permission: `retrieval.manage`.

## Path parameters

- `project_id` string, uuid, required
- `environment_id` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- DatabaseStatsResponse
  - `total_collections` integer, required: Number of collections in the environment.
  - `total_documents` integer, required: Documents across all collections.
  - `total_size_bytes` integer, required: Storage used by all collections, including indexes, in bytes.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: The API key lacks the required permission or access to the environment.
- `404`: The resource does not exist in this project.
- `422`: Validation Error
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
