# List database collections

`GET /v1/projects/{project_id}/database/{environment_id}/collections`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.connic.co`
- URL: `https://api.connic.co/v1/projects/{project_id}/database/{environment_id}/collections`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

List every collection with its document count and storage size.

Required permission: `retrieval.manage`.

## Path parameters

- `project_id` string, uuid, required
- `environment_id` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- DatabaseCollectionsResponse
  - `collections` DatabaseCollection[], required: Collections sorted by name.
    - `name` string, required
    - `document_count` integer, required: Documents in the collection.
    - `size_bytes` integer, required: Storage used by the collection, including indexes, in bytes.
  - `total` integer, required: Number of collections.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: The API key lacks the required permission or access to the environment.
- `404`: The resource does not exist in this project.
- `422`: Validation Error
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
