# Test channel

`POST /v1/projects/{project_id}/channels/{channel_id}/test`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.connic.co`
- URL: `https://api.connic.co/v1/projects/{project_id}/channels/{channel_id}/test`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Send a test message through a configured notification channel. Returns 502 when delivery fails.

Required permission: `channels.manage`.

- `project_id` string, uuid, required
- `channel_id` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- PublicChannelTestResponse
  - `ok` boolean, required: Whether the operation succeeded.
  - `status` integer, nullable, required: HTTP status returned by the destination. Null when the channel type does not report one.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: The API key lacks the required permission or access to the environment.
- `404`: The resource does not exist in this project.
- `422`: Validation Error
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
