# Start Composal sign-in for an org-only or private Composal Pages site

`GET /api/v1/com_site_access/start`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://composal.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

Browser navigation on the web origin. Uses the Composal session cookie, not a bearer token, and answers with redirects or an HTML page.

- `return_to` string

## Other responses

- `302`: Redirect to login, to the site callback, or straight to a public site
- `403`: HTML page explaining that the viewer cannot open the site
- `404`: HTML page for an unknown site
