# Find companies similar to a list

`GET /lists/{id}/similar`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.companystack.co.uk`
- URL: `https://api.companystack.co.uk/lists/{id}/similar`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-Api-Key`

Lookalikes seeded from the whole list: active companies in the list's most common SIC classes (its most common postcode area first), each scored 0–100 against its closest list member on sector, location, size and age. Companies already on the list are excluded.

## Response `200`

Similar companies with `similarity` and the list member each `resembles`

## Other responses

- `401`: API key missing, malformed or revoked
- `403`: Plan limit or feature not included
- `429`: Fair use (`code: fair_use_limit`): "Find similar" searches are limited to 60 an hour and 300 a day for each account. A refused call is not counted; `Retry-After` says when to try again. A 429 with `code: rate_limited` is the request quota.
