# /participants

`GET /v1/participants`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.companydata.dk` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.companydata.dk/v1/participants`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Search participants by name.

Searches individuals (persons) that appear in ownership or management roles.
Companies are not stored as participants — look them up by CVR via the
/companies endpoints (e.g. /companies/{cvr}/beneficial-owners).

## Query parameters

- `q` string, required: Search query (name)
- `page` integer: Page number
- `limit` integer: Results per page

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- ParticipantSearchResponse: Response for participant search endpoint.
  - `data` AppModelsParticipantParticipantSearchResult[], required: Matching participants
    - `unit_number` integer, required: CVR unit number for lookups
    - `unit_type` string, required: Type — always PERSON (participants are individuals)
    - `name` string, required: Participant name
    - `cvr` string, nullable: Unused — participants are individuals (kept for response-shape stability)
    - `company_relations` ParticipantSearchResultRelation[]: Active roles (max 5). A company may appear more than once if the participant holds several roles there (e.g. owner + director).
      - `cvr` string, required: Company CVR number
      - `company_name` string, nullable: Company name
      - `role_name` string, nullable: Role in the company
    - `company_count` integer: Number of distinct companies the participant is or has been related to (matches what the portfolio expands to).
    - `active_company_count` integer: Distinct companies where the participant currently holds an active role.
  - `meta` object: Response metadata
  - `pagination` object: Pagination info
