# Start Claim

`POST /v1/claims`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.companydata.dk` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.companydata.dk/v1/claims`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Start a new claim for a company.

Verification uses your verified account email. If it is the company's
CVR-registered email, or its domain matches the company website, the
claim is approved instantly. Otherwise it goes to manual admin review.

## Query parameters

- `locale` string: Locale for emails

## Request body

- ClaimCreateRequest: Request to start a new claim. The claim is bound to the logged-in user; verification uses their verified account email, so no email is accepted from the client.
  - `cvr` string, required

  - `role` string, nullable

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- ClaimCreateResponse: Response after starting a claim.
  - `claim_id` string, required
  - `cvr` string, required
  - `verification_method` 'email_domain' | 'cvr_email' | 'admin_email' | 'manual', required: How the claim was verified.
  - `next_step` string, required
  - `message` string, required
