# Update Seats

`POST /billing/subscription/seats`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.companydata.dk` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.companydata.dk/billing/subscription/seats`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Change the org's total seat count (Team tier, Owner only).

Seat ADDITIONS take effect immediately and are billed in full on the next
invoice (F4-mechanic: quantity bump with proration_behavior='none' — free
for the remainder of the current cycle). Seat REMOVALS also use no
proration, so nothing is refunded mid-cycle; the lower price applies from
the next renewal. Seats below the current member count are rejected.

## Request body

- SeatUpdateRequest: Request to change the org's total seat count (team tier).
  - `seats` integer, required: New total seat count (3 included in flat price)

## Response `200`

  - `seats_total` integer, required
  - `extra_seats` integer, required
  - `effective` string, required

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation Error
