# Create a workspace owned by the authenticated user

`POST /workspaces`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.communicate.so/api/v1`
- URL: `https://app.communicate.so/api/v1/workspaces`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in cookie `__Secure-better-auth.session_token`
  - API key in cookie `better-auth.session_token`

Use a user-bound `ca_` bearer credential with the stated account scope, or an application session. Workspace `ck_` keys and their OAuth tokens do not grant account authority.

  - `name` string, required

## Response `201`

Create a workspace owned by the authenticated user

  - `name` string, required
  - `planId` string, required
  - `timezone` string, required
  - `createdAt` string, date-time, required
  - `updatedAt` string, date-time, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request body or pagination.
- `401`: Session or credential missing, invalid, expired or revoked; fresh password proof failed when required.
- `403`: Email verification, trusted origin or required account scope is missing.
- `409`: A workspace with this name already exists for the authenticated user.
- `500`: Unexpected server failure.
