# Get the state and transcription result of a speech recognition task

`GET /speech/result/{id}`

## Request

- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Returns a previously submitted speech recognition task by its `id`. Once the task has succeeded `result` holds the transcription; until then it is not yet populated, so the method can be polled until it is. Depending on the task type the response also contains a call `summary` and a call score with its description. Only tasks of the authenticated customer can be read; any other id returns 404. A recognition token of the authenticated account may be passed in the `X-Recognition-Token` header (or as a `token` query parameter); API keys allowed to use Speech Recognition may omit it.

  - `duration` number, nullable: Recording duration in seconds
  - `languages` string[], nullable: Languages used for recognition
  - `remote_identifier` string, nullable: Caller-provided identifier
  - `result` union: Recognition result. Once the task has succeeded it is the transcription object. Until then it is `null` or a string — an error message if the task failed.

      - `language` string, nullable: First language requested for recognition

      - `plain_body` string, nullable: Full transcript: the text of all `phrases`, one phrase per line
      - `phrases` SpeechRecognitionPhrase[], nullable: Transcribed phrases in chronological order
        - `channel` integer, nullable: Audio channel the phrase was spoken on (1 or 2)
        - `start_at` number, nullable: Phrase start, seconds from the beginning of the recording
        - `end_at` number, nullable: Phrase end, seconds from the beginning of the recording
        - `phrase` string, nullable: Phrase text
        - `sentiment` number, nullable: Phrase sentiment score, when available
      - `translation_plain_body` string, nullable: Full translation, one phrase per line. Empty unless the task type includes translation
      - `translation_phrases` SpeechRecognitionPhrase[], nullable: Translated phrases. Empty unless the task type includes translation
        - `channel` integer, nullable: Audio channel the phrase was spoken on (1 or 2)
        - `start_at` number, nullable: Phrase start, seconds from the beginning of the recording
        - `end_at` number, nullable: Phrase end, seconds from the beginning of the recording
        - `phrase` string, nullable: Phrase text
        - `sentiment` number, nullable: Phrase sentiment score, when available
      - `summary` string, nullable: Summary of conversation
      - `sentiment` number, nullable: Call Score 0-1
