# Get device

`GET /{sub_domain}/api/devices/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.commpeak.com/pbx`
- URL: `https://api.commpeak.com/pbx/{sub_domain}/api/devices/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Retrieve a single device by its extension.

**When to use.** Drill-down to the full detail of one device, for example from a list row.

**Parameters.** `id` (path): the extension of the device to look up. Returns an error if no device with that extension exists.

**Shape.** `{ "devices": [ <device> ] }`, a single-element array that matches the list endpoint's envelope.

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required: Device extension.
- `sub_domain` string, required: PBX Name (subdomain)

  - `devices` DeviceItem[], required
    - `id` integer, nullable: Device ID.
    - `name` string, nullable: Device name / description.
    - `extension` integer, nullable: Device extension.
    - `password` string, nullable: Registration password.
    - `created_at` string, nullable: Creation timestamp.
    - `updated_at` string, nullable: Last update timestamp.
    - `login_user_id` integer, nullable: ID of the user last logged in to the device.
    - `last_login` string, nullable: Last login timestamp, or null.
