# Set nav destination

`POST /v1/navigation/{dongleId}/set_destination`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.comma.ai`
- URL: `https://api.comma.ai/v1/navigation/{dongleId}/set_destination`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Set destination for navigation. Authenticated user must have ownership of the dongle ID.

## Request body

- NavigationDestination
  - `place_name` string, required: Short name of destination
  - `place_details` string, required: Address details of destination. Should not include short name.
  - `latitude` number, required: Latitude, decimal degrees
  - `longitude` number, required: Longitude, decimal degrees

## Response `200`

Destination set

  - `success` true, required
  - `saved_next` boolean, required: True if the destination was stored and will be applied when the device is next online. False if the destination was set immediately.
