# Palette Method Vanderpoel

`POST /palette/method/vanderpoel`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.colourmemory.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.colourmemory.com/palette/method/vanderpoel`
- Auth: none declared

Your own colour, arranged by Vanderpoel's proportions: pick one of her
colour-analysis plates (or omit plate_id to have plates suggested), and
your colour takes the place of the plate's leading colour while every other
role is rebuilt around it -- hue family, lightness and chroma relationships
measured from her printed colours, moved in CIELAB -- in her printed
percentages.

MECHANICAL, quoted exactly: the printed names, the printed percentages
(Plate LVIII's add up to 99 and are shown as 99), the 10 x 10 grid, the
caption. INTERPRETED, each block carrying its sentence: the name reading,
the role your colour takes, the measured family angles, your palette, the
suggestions. Every plate behaves the same; the eleven funerary-context
plates (LII-LXI, LXX) carry a descriptive note wherever they appear.

mode "keep_names" (default) keeps her printed hue family for every role
but the one your colour takes; "transpose" turns the whole plate to your
hue, and says her colour names no longer apply.
