# Search permittees

`GET /permittees`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.colacloud.us/api/v1`
- URL: `https://app.colacloud.us/api/v1/permittees`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Search permit holders (wineries, breweries, distilleries, importers, etc.).
Results are ordered by total COLA count (most active first).

- `is_active` 'true' | 'false'

    - `company_name` string
    - `company_state` string: Two-letter state code
    - `company_zip_code` string
    - `permittee_type` string: Type of permit (e.g., "Bonded Winery", "Importer")
    - `is_active` boolean
    - `active_reason` string, nullable
    - `colas` integer: Total number of COLAs for this permittee.
    - `colas_approved` integer: Number of approved COLAs.
    - `last_cola_application_date` string, date, nullable: Date of most recent COLA application.
  - `pagination` Pagination
    - `mode` 'offset' | 'cursor': Pagination mode
    - `page` integer: Current page number (offset mode only)
    - `per_page` integer: Results per page
    - `total` integer, nullable: Total number of results (null in offset mode)
    - `pages` integer, nullable: Total number of pages (null in offset mode)
    - `has_more` boolean: Whether more results are available
    - `next_cursor` string, nullable: Cursor for next page (cursor mode only)

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key or Bearer token
- `429`: Quota or burst limit exceeded
