# Sign-up a new user

`POST /signup/trader`

## Request

This API endpoint allows you to make a Sign-up API request which creates a Trader account for your customer in Coinify's system. Feel free to test it out directly on this page using your dedicated Partner ID.

## Request body

- object
  - `email` string, required: Email address of the customer that's being signed up.
  - `password` string: The password of the user used in combination with the email address to sign in. Can be omitted when using Frictionless Sign-up flow.
  - `partnerId` string, required: Your unique Coinify Partner ID as provided to you during onboarding.
  - `accountType` 'individual' | 'corporate': Type of the customer's trader account with Coinify. Possible values: 'individual' and 'corporate'. Use 'corporate' when signing up e.g. business clients. Use 'individual' when signing up private customers.
  - `profile` object, required: Object
    - `address` object: Object with information about the trader’s physical residence country/state.
      - `country` string, required: Country of customer's residence. **Must be collected directly from end-user input!** ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code.
      - `state` string: State of residence of the customer. Required if country is ‘US’.ISO 3166-2 state/province.
  - `trustedEmailValidationToken` string: (Only for trusted Coinify partners) Signed message from partner for automatic validation of customer's email. See [Frictionless Sign-up Flow](<https://coinify-trade-api.readme.io/docs/frictionless-signup-flow>) page in Guides section for detailed instructions.
  - `generateOfflineToken` boolean: If set to 'true', an offline token is created for the new trader and returned in the response with the parameter *offlineToken*. Used to authenticate your Customers to Coinify Trade service without the need for them provide the credentials. See [Frictionless Sign-up Flow](<https://coinify-trade-api.readme.io/docs/frictionless-signup-flow>) page in Guides section for detailed instructions.
  - `consentAdditionalMails` boolean: Determines whether the customer consents to receive additional marketing emails from Coinify.
