# Create a bank account entry

`POST /bank-accounts`

This page describes the Create a Bank Account API endpoint. 
The endpoint is used to provide the end-user's bank account details necessary for Coinify to send the requested FIAT currency for the user's completed Sell trade.

## Request body

- object
  - `account` object, required: Object with additional information about the bank account.
    - `name` string, required: Name under which this bank account should be stored so that the user can easily recognise it later. E.g. "My EUR bank account".
    - `currency` string, required: Currency of the bank account. e.g. EUR. Get supported currencies for incoming/outgoing bank transfers via the [Payment Methods endpoint](https://coinify-trade-api.readme.io/reference/get-payment-methods).
    - `bic` string, required: For SEPA and international it’s the SWIFT/BIC number and for Danish accounts it’s the REG number.
    - `number` string, required: For SEPA and international it’s the IBAN (International Bank Account Number). For Danish accounts, it’s the BBAN (Basic Bank Account Number).
  - `bank` object: **Required for non-SEPA payments.** Object with additional information about the bank.
    - `address` object, required: Object with information about the address of bank.
  - `holder` object, required: Object with additional information about the bank account holder.
    - `name` string, required: Full name of the bank account holder.
    - `address` object: Object with information about the address of the account holder.
      - `city` string, required: City where the bank account holder resides.
      - `street` string, required: Street address.
      - `zipcode` string: Zip/Postal code.
      - `country` string, required: Country where the bank account holder resides.
      - `state` string: __Required for country US__. State within the country where the account holder resides.
