# Update Hunch

`PATCH /api/v1/hunches/{hunch_id}`

## Request

Edit, graduate, confirm, or re-baseline a hunch.

Accepted fields (any combination):

- ``hypothesis`` — replace the statement (single editable statement by design)
- ``status`` — ``learned`` / ``unsupported`` graduate; ``active`` confirms a
  proposed hunch or re-tracks a graduated one
- ``rebaseline: true`` — snapshot the relationship as it stands now as the
  new reference point; the old baseline is kept in ``prior_baselines``
