# Update project type

`PATCH /project-types/{type_id}`

Update a project type.

Only provided fields are updated.

## Path parameters

- `type_id` string, required

## Request body

- ProjectTypeUpdateV1: Update project-type request. All fields are optional - only provided fields will be updated.
  - `name` string, nullable: Unique within the org (case-insensitive).
  - `color` string, nullable: Optional hex color for UI display, e.g. '#3B82F6'.

  - `color` string, nullable, required
  - `projects_count` integer, required
  - `created_at` string, date-time, nullable, required
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, nullable, required: Null if never updated.
