# Register a self-hosted compute node

`POST /v1/nodes/register`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.algenta.ai`
- URL: `https://api.algenta.ai/v1/nodes/register`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

Called by self-hosted Algenta workers on startup to register with the API.
The node will appear in GET /v1/infrastructure for the org.

## Request body

- NodeRegisterRequest
  - `node_id` string, nullable
  - `region` string
  - `engine_version` string, nullable
  - `cpu_count` integer, nullable
  - `memory_gb` number, nullable
  - `capabilities` string[], nullable

## Response `201`

  - `registered_at` string, required
  - `message` string, required
