# Update execution policy

`PATCH /v1/execution/policy`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.algenta.ai`
- URL: `https://api.algenta.ai/v1/execution/policy`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

Partial update — only supplied fields are changed. Changes take effect immediately for all subsequent executions. Audit logs record every update.

## Request body

- UpdatePolicyRequest: Partial update — only supplied fields are changed.
  - `min_confidence` number, nullable: Minimum confidence to allow execution (0–1). Default: 0.5.
  - `risk_floor` number, nullable: Maximum tolerable downside loss (absolute). If p5 < -risk_floor the execution is blocked. Set to null to disable the check.
  - `require_calibration` boolean, nullable: When true, trigger auto_execute is disabled until the org has ≥5 recorded outcomes. Manual execution is always allowed.
  - `allow_reexecution` boolean, nullable: When true, already-executed decisions can fire again without force=true.
