# Get Trending Papers

`GET /trending/`

## Request

Get trending/interesting papers from our database.

Computes a trending score based on repository stars, repo count,
recency, official code availability, and HuggingFace trending boost.

Sort modes:
- hot: Balanced trending score (default — best for homepage)
- new: Most recently published papers with code
- fresh: Papers that just got code discovered (latest search_date)
- discussed: Community buzz — HF upvotes + repo implementations

## Query parameters

- `limit` integer: Maximum number of papers
- `offset` integer: Offset for pagination
- `sort` string: Sort mode: hot, new, fresh, discussed
- `has_code` boolean: Only show papers with code repos
- `category` string, nullable: Filter by arXiv category
- `conference` string, nullable: Filter by conference ID
- `days` integer, nullable: Limit to papers from last N days
