# Revoke an access token (RFC 7009)

`POST /oauth2/revoke`

## Request

Revokes an access token that belongs to the authenticated client. Answers 200 with an empty body, also when the token was already invalid. A revoked token is rejected on every endpoint immediately. Limit: 30 per minute per IP.

## Response `200`

Revoked, or already invalid.

## Other responses

- `400`: invalid_request.
- `401`: invalid_client.
- `405`: The HTTP method is not supported.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. Wait Retry-After seconds.
