# Verify an access key

`POST /api/boards/{boardId}/verify-key`

Pure verification — does NOT change board state. Used by the browser modal to test a freshly-typed code before persisting it client-side. Returns `{ok: true|false}`.

- `400`: Board is not locked.
- `404`: Board does not exist or was deleted within the 30-day tombstone window.
