# Create item stock

`POST /v3/merchants/{mId}/item_stocks/{itemId}`

Create a stock count for a single item.

## Path parameters

- `mId` string, required
- `itemId` string, required

## Request body

  - `quantity` number, required: Initial count of this item in stock.
  - `stockAlertThreshold` number: The quantity threshold at which a low stock alert is triggered.

## Response `200`

Successful response. Item stock created.

    - `id` string: Unique identifier of an item in the inventory.
  - `stockCount` integer: Deprecated. Use quantity instead.
  - `quantity` number: Current count of the items in stock.
  - `stockAlertThreshold` number: The quantity threshold at which a low stock alert is triggered.
  - `modifiedTime` integer: Time when the item stock was modified.
