# Get Odoo version information

`GET /servers/{id}/version`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.cloudpepper.io`
- URL: `https://api.cloudpepper.io/servers/{id}/version`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Retrieves information about the currently installed Odoo version on the server and the latest available version. This endpoint helps you determine if your server is running the most current version of Odoo within your major version. You can use this information to decide whether to update your server.

**Key Parameters:**
- `id`: The unique identifier of the server

**Returns:**
- Current installed Odoo version
- Latest available Odoo version for your major release

**NOTE:** Version information is based on the official Odoo package repository. The 'latest' version refers to the most recent stable release within your major version (e.g., the latest 16.0 release if you're running Odoo 16).

Version information retrieved successfully

  - `latest` string: Latest available Odoo version
