# Update server settings

`PATCH /servers/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.cloudpepper.io`
- URL: `https://api.cloudpepper.io/servers/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Updates server settings such as the server name, features, and configuration options. This endpoint allows you to modify server properties after it has been created. Changes are applied immediately to the server configuration.

**Key Parameters:**
- `id`: The unique identifier of the server to update
- `name`: Optional new name for the server
- `features.autoUpdate.enabled`: Optional boolean to enable/disable automatic updates to server
- `features.geoIP.enabled`: Optional boolean to enable/disable GeoIP functionality

**NOTE:** Only the fields you specify in the request body will be updated. Other server properties will remain unchanged.

  - `features` object: Server features configuration
    - `autoUpdate` object
      - `enabled` boolean: Enable or disable automatic updates for the server
    - `geoIP` object
      - `enabled` boolean: Enable or disable GeoIP functionality on the server

## Response `200`

Server updated successfully

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request data
- `403`: Insufficient permissions
