# Stop Odoo instance

`POST /instances/{id}/stop`

## Request

Stops the specified Odoo instance. This is useful when you need to temporarily shut down an instance to save resources or perform maintenance. The instance will remain intact but will not be accessible until started again. Users can stop instances when they won't be needed for a period of time, or to troubleshoot issues by performing a clean shutdown.
