# Create (or regenerate) the API key

`POST /api/me/api-key`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://cliponit.app`
- URL: `https://cliponit.app/api/me/api-key`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in cookie `session`
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://cliponit.app/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://cliponit.app/oauth/token`, scopes: `clips`)

Returns the full key **once** (`ck_` + 64 hex). Use it as `Authorization: Bearer ck_…` on every `/api/*` route and on `POST /mcp`. Requires a plan with `api_mcp` (Starter and above) → 403 otherwise. Regenerating revokes the previous key.
