# The anesthesia record as chart data (ITE-1331, flag \`AnesthesiaChart\`): grid series on a real time axis, drug / fluid / milestone markers and phase bands. Built on read, like the phases, so a corrected time or a late grid edit shows on the next read; a finalized record reads the same way.

- AnesthesiaChartDto: The anesthesia record as a chart (ITE-1331): numeric series from the monitoring grid on a real time axis, drug / fluid / milestone markers from the timeline, and phase bands from the shared phase resolver. Built by `AnesthesiaChartProjection`, which the console renders and the record export (a later ticket) is meant to share. Values are parsed once, server-side; a reading that doesn't parse, or a row that can't be dated, is left off rather than guessed.
  - `temperatureUnit` string: The unit every temperature point is in: the clinic's display unit ("°F" or "°C").
  - `series` AnesthesiaChartSeriesDto[]: One entry per metric that has at least one plotted point, in a fixed order.
    - `metric` string: The grid field it comes from: hr, rr, spo2, etco2, map, sys, dia, temp, gas.

    - `axis` integer: Which y-axis an anesthesia chart series is drawn against (ITE-1331). Temperature and inhalant percent sit on their own scales; on the shared one, a 101.5 °F temperature would flatten a 2 % iso trace to the floor.

  - `phaseBands` AnesthesiaChartBandDto[]: Contiguous phase spans over the chart's time window; spans no boundary places are left out.
    - `phase` integer: The surgical phase an item of a surgery visit falls in (ITE-1330), resolved on read by `SurgeryPhaseResolver` from console timestamps only. Declaration order is chronological; SurgeryPhase.Unknown is last. Pre-op ends at induction (scoping decision, 2026-10-12). Intra-op splits into the work done under anesthesia before the procedure (dental radiographs, scaling, blocks, prep) and the procedure itself; SurgeryPhase.IntraOp is intra-op time that can't be split because the procedure start was never stamped.
