# Create a note

`POST /notes`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.cleve.ai/api/v1`
- URL: `https://app.cleve.ai/api/v1/notes`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a note from a title and a Markdown body. Returns the new note's ID.

## Request body

- NoteCreate
  - `title` string: Note title.
  - `content` string: Note body as Markdown.
  - `folderId` string: Folder to create the note in.
  - `isPinned` boolean: Pin the note.

## Response `201`

The note was created.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request is invalid. `error` says which field is missing or wrong.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `500`: Unexpected server error. Safe to retry once.
