# Create a folder

`POST /folders`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.cleve.ai/api/v1`
- URL: `https://app.cleve.ai/api/v1/folders`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a folder, optionally inside another folder. Returns the new folder's ID.

## Request body

- FolderCreate
  - `name` string, required
  - `parentId` string: Create the folder inside this folder.

## Response `201`

The folder was created.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request is invalid. `error` says which field is missing or wrong.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `500`: Unexpected server error. Safe to retry once.
