# Prepare a pickup close-out (step 1 of 2)

`POST /api/reservations/{id}/pickup-confirm/prepare`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://clearlist.me`
- URL: `https://clearlist.me/api/reservations/{id}/pickup-confirm/prepare`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-ClearList-API-Key`
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://clearlist.me/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://clearlist.me/api/oauth/token`, scopes: `write`)

Names the buyer, the items and what the chosen outcome will do, and returns a confirmation token valid for 10 minutes. CHANGES NOTHING. Show the seller the buyer, items and `consequence`, then send the token to POST /api/reservations/{id}/pickup-confirm.

## Other responses

- `400`: action missing or not sold/noshow.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: The credential is read-only.
- `404`: No such reservation, or not this seller's (the same answer for both).
- `409`: `code: RESERVATION_NOT_ACTIVE`: the reservation already ended. Nothing to confirm.
- `429`: Too many confirmations prepared by this seller in the last hour.
- `500`: Unexpected server error.
