# Get position

`GET /accounts/{account_id}/positions/{symbol}`

Get current position for a given account for a given symbol.

## Path parameters

- `account_id` string, required: Account ID for the account.
- `symbol` string, required

  - `account_number` string, required: Account number for the account.
  - `symbol` string, required
  - `quantity` string, required: String representation of quantity.
  - `average_cost` number, double, required: The average cost of the position.
