# Get Instrument Fundamentals

`GET /v1/instruments/{instrument_id}/fundamentals`

## Request

- URL: `https://api.clearstreet.com/v1/instruments/{instrument_id}/fundamentals`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Retrieves supplemental fundamentals and company profile data for an instrument.

## Path parameters

- `instrument_id` string, required: Instrument identifier: either an instrument UUID or a symbol (symbol for equities, OSI for options). Non-UUID inputs are resolved server-side.

Instrument fundamentals

- object
  - `error` ApiError: A direct mapping of tonic::Status, for use in HTTP responses.
    - `code` integer, required: The error code is used to identify the nature of the error. It corresponds to an HTTP status code.
    - `details` object[]
    - `message` string, required: A human-readable message providing more details about the error.
  - `metadata` ResponseMetadata, required: Metadata for the response. This will always contain a request ID which can be used to identify the request to Clear Street for tracing, and optionally may include pagination data.
    - `next_page_token` string, byte, nullable: Base64URL-encoded pagination token
    - `page_number` integer, nullable: Pagination. Included if this was a GET (list) response
    - `previous_page_token` string, byte, nullable: Base64URL-encoded pagination token
    - `request_id` string, required: A unique ID for this request, generated upon ingestion of the request.
    - `total_items` integer, nullable: Total number of items available (not just in this page).
    - `total_pages` integer, nullable: Total number of pages available.
  - `data` InstrumentFundamentals, required: Supplemental fundamentals and company profile data for an instrument.
    - `average_volume` integer, nullable: The average daily trading volume over the past 30 days When a null/undefined value is observed, it indicates that there is no available data.
    - `beta` string, nullable: The beta value, measuring the instrument's volatility relative to the overall market When a null/undefined value is observed, it indicates that there is no available data.
    - `description` string, nullable: A detailed description of the instrument or company When a null/undefined value is observed, it indicates that there is no available data.
    - `dividend_yield` string, nullable: The trailing twelve months (TTM) dividend yield When a null/undefined value is observed, it indicates that there is no available data.
    - `earnings_per_share` string, nullable: The trailing twelve months (TTM) earnings per share When a null/undefined value is observed, it indicates that there is no available data.
    - `fifty_two_week_high` string, nullable: The highest price over the last 52 weeks When a null/undefined value is observed, it indicates that there is no available data.
    - `fifty_two_week_low` string, nullable: The lowest price over the last 52 weeks When a null/undefined value is observed, it indicates that there is no available data.
    - `industry` string, nullable: The specific industry of the instrument's issuer When a null/undefined value is observed, it indicates that there is no available data.
    - `list_date` string, date, nullable: The date the instrument was first listed When a null/undefined value is observed, it indicates that there is no available data.
    - `logo_url` string, nullable: URL to a representative logo image for the instrument or issuer When a null/undefined value is observed, it indicates that there is no available data.
    - `market_cap` string, nullable: The total market capitalization When a null/undefined value is observed, it indicates that there is no available data.
    - `previous_close` string, nullable: The closing price from the previous trading day When a null/undefined value is observed, it indicates that there is no available data.
    - `price_to_earnings` string, nullable: The price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio for the trailing twelve months (TTM) When a null/undefined value is observed, it indicates that there is no available data.
    - `reporting_currency` string, nullable: The currency used for reporting financial data When a null/undefined value is observed, it indicates that there is no available data.
    - `sector` string, nullable: The business sector of the instrument's issuer When a null/undefined value is observed, it indicates that there is no available data.

## Other responses

- `400`: Fundamentals not applicable to this instrument type (e.g. an index)
- `404`: Instrument or fundamentals not found
- `500`: Internal server error
