# Record physician code selections (sync, best-effort; production only)

`POST /api/v3/soap/selections`

Synchronous, best-effort capture -- never routed through Temporal in production. This operation is not available in sandbox mode. The service swallows any bookkeeping failure into {accepted: false} so a physician mid-encounter is never blocked; a successful capture returns {accepted: true, analysis_id, recorded}.

## Request body

- SoapSelectionRequest: POST /selections body: the physician's code choices for a completed run. Synchronous, best-effort capture -- never routed through Temporal. An empty ``selections`` list is representable and simply records nothing (the service returns ``recorded: 0``); it is not an error, so no min_length is imposed.
  - `analysis_id` string, required: Run handle the selections belong to
  - `selections` CodeSelection[]: Selected codes to record
    - `code` string, required: Selected ICD code
    - `code_system` string, required: Code system, e.g. 'ICD-10'
    - `selected_by` string, nullable: Who made the selection (optional)
