# Delete Activity

`DELETE /aurd-tracking/{claim_id}/activities/{activity_id}`

Delete an activity.

Legacy claims: the ``aurd_activities`` row is hard-deleted; work items
become uncategorized via the SET NULL FK.

Activity-map claims (``?source=`` / ``discovery_methodology``): the
``activity_map_activities`` row is soft-deleted (``status='deprecated'``),
its current assignments are released so the items re-enter the
uncategorized queue, and the delete is audited via an Edit row. See
``app.activity_map.edits.delete``. The frontend echoes the tree's resolved
source (``?source=``) so an admin view override can't aim one id space at
the other's tables.
