# Activate Discovery Methodology

`POST /aurd-tracking/{claim_id}/activate-discovery-methodology`

Switch the claim to the activity-map (CLA-218) discovery pipeline.

Admin-only. After this, ``GET /{claim_id}/projects`` and
``GET /{claim_id}/work-items`` (and any other reads gated on
``effective_discovery_source``) read from the ``activity_map_*`` tables
instead of the legacy ``aurd_*`` tables. Reversible via /deactivate.
Activating on a claim where activity-map hasn't yet run produces empty
project/work-item responses until the orchestrator is invoked
separately — the toggle is read-side only.
