# A group in an organization

`GET /organizations/{org_id}/groups/{group_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://circleci.com/api/v2`
- URL: `https://circleci.com/api/v2/organizations/{org_id}/groups/{group_id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `Circle-Token`
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP basic
  - API key in query parameter `circle-token`

Get details for a group in an organization. Currently only supported for standalone organizations.

## Response `200`

Successfully gets a group. Members not included.

- Group
  - `id` string, uuid: Unique identifier for group
  - `name` string: Name of group
  - `description` string: Description field on group

## Other responses

- `403`: None or insufficient credentials provided.
- `404`: Entity not found.
- `500`: Internal server error.
