# Delete an organization

`DELETE /organization/{org-slug-or-id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://circleci.com/api/v2`
- URL: `https://circleci.com/api/v2/organization/{org-slug-or-id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `Circle-Token`
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP basic
  - API key in query parameter `circle-token`

Delete an organization. This action will delete all projects including all build data for the organization.

## Path parameters

- `org-slug-or-id` string, required

## Response `202`

A confirmation message.
