# Cancel job by job ID

`POST /jobs/{job-id}/cancel`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://circleci.com/api/v2`
- URL: `https://circleci.com/api/v2/jobs/{job-id}/cancel`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `Circle-Token`
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP basic
  - API key in query parameter `circle-token`

Cancel job with a given job ID.

## Path parameters

- `job-id` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

Job cancelled successfully.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request error.
- `401`: Unauthorized error.
- `403`: Forbidden error.
- `404`: Job not found error.
- `default`: Error response.
