# Create digital device

`POST /api/v2/devices`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.chirpwireless.io`
- URL: `https://api.chirpwireless.io/api/v2/devices`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key` and API key in header `X-Organization-Id`

Provision a new digital device with optional sensor attachment.

**Required scope:** `devices:write`

## Query parameters

- `organizationId` string, required

  - `physicalDevice` object: Physical device configuration (required for physical devices)
    - `clientDeviceId` string, required: Client device ID (e.g. DevEUI for LoRaWAN)
    - `connectionId` string, required: Connection ID to bind this device to
    - `configuration` object: Connection-specific configuration (e.g. LoRaWAN keys)
  - `images` object[]: Media attachments for the device
    - `mediaId` string, required
    - `isCover` boolean
    - `position` integer
