# Request a cryptogram

`POST /network-tokens/{network_token_id}/cryptograms`

Using network token ID as an input, this endpoint returns token cryptogram.

## Path parameters

- `network_token_id` string, required

## Request body

- NetworkTokensCryptogramRequest
  - `transaction_type` 'ecom' | 'recurring' | 'pos' | 'aft', required: Transaction type the cryptogram is requested for.

## Response `201`

Cryptogram from the network token

- NetworkTokensCryptogramResponse
  - `cryptogram` string, required: The cryptogram from the network token. Will only be refreshed for active network tokens and returned when the network token isn't declined or pending
  - `eci` string: Electronic Commerce Indicator (ECI) from the issuer.
  - `_links` object
    - `self` Link
      - `href` string, required: The link URL
    - `network-token` Link
      - `href` string, required: The link URL

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Network Token not found
- `422`: Invalid data was sent
- `500`: Internal Server Error
- `502`: Bad Gateway
- `504`: Gateway Timeout
