# Sign and submit an employee form

`POST /employees/{employee}/forms/{form}/sign_and_submit`

Submits an employee form and generates a signed PDF document.

This endpoint performs the same data submission as the [Submit an employee form](https://docs.checkhq.com/reference/submit-an-employee-form) endpoint, but additionally renders and stores a signed PDF document. The response includes a `document` field containing the ID of the generated document.

**Note: **Employee withholdings are normally configured when employees go through [Check Onboard](https://docs.checkhq.com/docs/check-onboard). Use the Employee Forms API only if you're building a custom integration for employee onboarding.
