# Create or update employee tax statement overrides

`POST /employee_tax_statement_overrides`

Creates or updates the override for each employee and year. Either every override is saved, or none are.

## Request body

- object
  - `overrides` object[], required: Between 1 and 500 overrides. Each employee and year can appear only once.
    - `employee` string, required: ID of the [employee](ref:the-employee-object) whose tax statement this override applies to.
    - `year` integer, required: Tax year the override applies to. Must be 2026 or later.
    - `qualified_overtime_compensation` string, decimal, nullable: Amount to report in Box 12 with Code TT. Must be zero or greater, with at most two decimal places. `null` reports the amount Check computes from the employee's overtime earnings.
    - `other_lines` object[]: Lines to report in Box 14a. A line replaces a line Check generates with the same label; otherwise it's added.
      - `label` string, required: Box 14a label, up to 32 characters. Leading and trailing whitespace is trimmed. Labels must be unique within an override, ignoring case.
      - `amount` string, decimal, required: Amount to report for the line. Must be zero or greater, with at most two decimal places.
    - `metadata` object: Arbitrary key-value data to attach to the override.
