# Update a company's tax parameters

`PATCH /company_tax_params/{company_id}`

Update a list of one or more tax parameters belonging to the company.

Note: a company's FEIN (federal employer identification number) if Check has already begun reviewing the company, i.e.. its implementation.kyb.status is anything but `not_initiated`. In these cases, should the FEIN need updating, please reach out to support@checkhq.com, or create a new company.

- `company_id` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `RAW_BODY` object[]: List of tax param update objects
    - `id` string, required: ID of the tax parameter that will be updated.
    - `applied_for` boolean: (Optional) Indicates whether the setting was marked as applied for.
    - `value` string: (Optional) The value of the setting.
    - `effective_start` string, date: (Optional) Date representing when the supplied value will start being effective.
