# Move an extra to a different group

`PUT /api/v1/extras/{id}/move`

## Request

Moves an extra into a different extra group, which can be in a different extra category. The extra is appended to the end of the target group, and the remaining extras in its original group close up to preserve their ordering.

The target group must belong to the same business. Use this instead of updating the group directly, which would not re-sort the extra within either group.

**Required permission:** `offerings_write`
