# Rename a proposal alternative or set its deposit

`PATCH /api/v1/events/{event_id}/proposal_alternatives/{id}`

Sets the title the client sees for this alternative, and the deposit it asks for. Both are optional. Without a `custom_title`, the alternative is named after its package.

**Required permission:** `assigned_event_write` (when the authenticated user is assigned to the event) or `unassigned_event_write` (otherwise).
