# Get Chat Contact

`GET /contacts/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://developers.chatway.app/api/v1`

- Auth: API key in header `X-API-KEY`

Retrieve a single visitor contact, including their profile and widget information. Use data[].id from List Chat Contacts or `data.id` from Initialize Chat Contact as the ID in GET /contacts/{id}.

The ID in this path is a contact ID, not a conversation ID or widget ID. Use Get Chat Contact after updating a contact when you want to check its current details. To change name, email or phone, use Update Chat Contact.
