# Mark a message read

`POST /v1/messages/{id}/read`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Shows blue ticks to the sender of an inbound message. Idempotent: a second call sends nothing.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

The message, with `seen_at` set.

## Other responses

- `404`: No such message.
- `409`: Only a received message can be marked read.
