# Cancel a message

`POST /v1/messages/{id}/cancel`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.chatrail.dev`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Only while it has not reached the provider. Once submitted the message exists on somebody's phone and cancelling would be a lie.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

Cancelled.

## Other responses

- `404`: No such message.
- `409`: Already handed to the provider.
